BJP will form govt in Maharashtra in two-three months, claims MoS Raosaheb Danve
MoS Raosaheb Danve made the remarks while addressing BJP workers in Maharashtra's Parbhani ahead of the State Legislative Council polls in Aurangabad graduate constituency.
Raosaheb Danve, Minister of State (MoS) in the Union government said on Monday that the BJP will form a government in Maharashtra in the next two-three months. The MoS in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Danve made the remarks in Maharashtra's Parbhani.
Addressing BJP workers, Raosaheb Danve said that the party cadre should not think they cannot form a government in the state of Maharashtra. "I will tell you clearly. In the coming two to three months, our government is being formed in Maharashtra and you should remember that," Danve said.
The MoS went further to add, "I will not tell you how we will form the government. I will tell them [Maha Vikas Aghadi government] after it happens. We are only waiting for existing elections to get over."
Referring to the State Legislative Council polls in Aurangabad graduate constituency, Raosaheb Danve said, "Our workers should fight with all they have while keeping in mind that we [BJP] is forming a government in Maharashtra in the coming months."
"Our candidate should win in these elections. BJP should have a majority in the Legislative Council. All three Opposition parties are in the field against BJP but they don't trust each other at all," Raosahab Danve said.
The BJP has fielded Shirish Boralkar as its candidate from the Aurangabad graduate constituency.
Interestingly, Danve made the remarks on the same day Devendra Fadnavis took oath as chief minister of Maharashtra alongside Ajit Pawar of the NCP in 2019. The BJP-NCP alliance was short-lived and collapsed after Ajit Pawar tendered his resignation and the NCP managed to stitch the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance with Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray as the chief minister
