     Coronavirus cases in India LIVE Updates: Coronavirus cases in  Delhi rose to 152,580 on Sunday as the national capital reported 652 fresh Covid-19 cases on Sunday, pushing the recovery rate in Delhi to more than 90 percent. Several states in India, on the other hand, have continued to register a rapid increase in their daily coronavirus cases, taking the country's total tally to over 25.89 lakh. 

              India on Sunday logged 63,489 coronavirus cases and 944 deaths. India's coronavirus case fatality rate has continued to see a downward trend. Meanwhile, Indian companies have asked the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) to provide the technical details of phase 1 and phase 2 clinical trials of Russia's coronavirus vaccine, the world's first registered vaccine against the infection. India's recovery rate nears 72%, case fatality rate continues downward trend

Coronavirus cases in India LIVE: India's coronavirus case fatality rate has continued to see the downward trend as it dropped to 1.93 percent, the Union health ministry said on Monday. It also said that India's COVID case fatality rate is one of the lowest globally. Meanwhile, the country's recovery rate is nearing 72 percent.

The high level of coronavirus recovery rate is due to the implementation of testing aggressively, tracking comprehensively and treating efficiently through a plethora of measures, it said.

The total number of recoveries in the country rose to 18,62,258 on Sunday, according to official data. A total of 53,322 patients recuperated and were discharged in a span of 24 hours.

From 3.33 percent on June 18, the case fatality rate has declined to 1.93 percent.

India's coronavirus tally increased to 25,89,682 with a single-day spike of 63,490 infections, while the death toll climbed to 49,980 with 944 people succumbing to the disease in a span of 24 hours. Stay with us for live updates on the single-day coronavirus cases from across the country.
